I am a Software Engineer at Aechelon Technology with a background in Visual Effects (VFX) where I worked for DreamWorks, Pixar, and EA Games.

I graduated from Brigham Young University majoring in Animation with a Computer Science minor. I also attended Portland Community College where I attained a Multimedia Certificate. In college I was fortunate enough to work on 4 student films which have gone on to win 3 student Emmys and 1 student Oscar.

History -
Computers and I go way back. Our courtship began when I was about 3-4 years old. She started as an Atari 400, but soon blossomed into an Atari 800, Atari ST, 386 PC, 486 PC, Pentium II, Dual Xeon, and finally into a beautiful young Quad Core.

Despite my nerdy nature, I have always had a passion for art and drawing, or activities that include the right side of the brain. I enjoy, on occasion, singing and playing musical instruments such as the guitar and my new acquaintance, the piano.

My two favorite things to do, besides the computer, are enjoying films and video games, both of which have played a big part in my life. I have grown passionate about these mediums as a tool for telling stories and involving the masses in events that we might be unable to appreciate or enjoy otherwise.

This mystical combination of nerdiness, right brain activity, and passion for media has given me an undying determination to learn and create tools so I too can make something great.
